Lyme Bay Leisure Resort is located
just a short walk from the town centre, only a short stroll
to the sea front. The Village is situated on a flat area
and all accommodation is in single stories, making Lyme Bay
ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties. There is ample
parking close to your accommodation.
Seaton
Situated on one of the most beautiful
parts of the East Devon coast, Lyme Bay Leisure Resort
is well situated for guests wanting a relaxing
break or one with plenty of activity!
The town is situated between the villages of Axmouth
and Beer, adjoining the mouth of the River Axe. Unlike
many of its contemporaries, Seaton has very much kept its
small town feeling with a large number of small local shops
situated in the High Street.
The Jubilee Gardens adjoining the sea front lead to the Clock
Tower, bowling green, putting green and tennis courts, whilst
the Cliff Field Gardens - a short distance away - give delightful
views over the bay to Portland.
With its mile-long beach, Seaton is great for all types of
water sports or for those who just enjoy sitting back and
watching others do all the work. If you are feeling energetic,
the area has a number of parks as well as excellent coastal
walks, either west towards Beer or east towards Lyme Regis
in Dorset.
| The whole area has been dubbed
the Jurassic Coast due to the large numbers of prehistoric
fossils embedded in the cliffs. Due to its global
importance, the area was awarded World Heritage Status
in 2001. More information about the walks and the coastline can
be found at www.jurassiccoast.com |
